Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital

My family is very furious with the staff and environment at this hospital. I was taken in by an ambulance due to severe back pain and nausea, i could barely move without crying in pain and trying to catch my breath. They finally brought me in and put me in the waiting room as im screaming in pain and crying. The woman in the front desk does not acknowledge me, there are no guests in the lobby and the people that brought me in did not care to come back to check on me or let me know whats going on. I threw up on the floor accidentally and STILL the woman at the front desk says and does nothing. When it was my turn to be seen this older woman with reddish hair looked and me turned around and told her cowokers "she freaking threw up on the floor" then proceeds to come towards me ask why I did

I went to the emergency room on last night. 2/20/26 when I was there the doctor I saw was friendly heard my concern took action immediately. I wish I could remember her name so sorry I can't will find out. The reason why I can't remember is I had this nurse name Ed. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable , to answer my question, to make me feel seen. Thank you sir. Now you probably won't hear to many say this but the woman that took my blood always an enjoyable experience she is so kind and always greets with a smile. Last night my overall experience had me to write this review. Thanks so much for turning a painful situation into a comfortable experience.

I went to the ER December 29th about 8:30am. I was taken right back immediately considering my symptoms. I had one of the most amazing nurses, Tony. He tried to start an IV and couldn't get one. Kept apologizing because I bruise so easily. Never felt like I was bothering him when i paged to use the restroom (I had to be unhooked from the heart monitor each time). I was there till shift change around 7pm and he introduced me to (I think her name was) MacKenzie. Another fantastic nurse. I was being admitted but they still didn't have a bed for me. She was going to go get me an actual hospital bed if I ended up staying the night in the ER. There were some really loud people, who I think we working at the nurses station, that I had to complain about. This was probably 8-9pm. She took care of

This hospital is very dirty. Looking around you can see all the build up crud, dirt, and dust. The staff was great! The outpatient pre op area could use an upgrade. There is zero privacy in this area as you await your turn you can see and hear all the other patients. You are able to hear their entire intake which includes a lot of private information about their health history. Highly suggest something other than curtains to create privacy. When the curtains are open you are face to face with others who are literally only in hospital gowns. Nothing like being exposed to strangers.

I had an appointment at the Saxton Pavilion with Juan Salvania from Dr. Urso’s office. The office has amazing staff with pleasant attitudes. I recently had to start going to pain management with this group. They make me feel at home. They call me by name and I just started going there. I would recommend this pain management group to everyone. I leave there knowing everything I need to know, all my questions are answered with smiles. They make you feel like you are the only one in the office. The best group of professionals I am glad I go to!!!!
