CommonSpirit St. Anthony Hospital

I have had several poor experiences with this hospital. Last year I had to self treat my family member after they left her shivering in a hallway. Yesterday they shoved my dad in a hallway for 7 hours at minimum with no results with the cost reaching a few thousand. A few years ago I have a fever of 108 F and they sent me away because “I was perfectly fine.” According to the staff dispute loosing full vision twice. I ended up having to go to a different hospital and got treatment almost instantly.

The staff had no care for resting patients (beyond doing rounds) and the doctor I had was judgemental and disingenuous. I got told for for my pancreatitis that all I had to do was do my basic pass of cld (clear liquid diet) old (full liquid diet) and a solid pass just to, AND I QUOTE "Consider letting me out" and I wasn't even updated to full liquid. Because he didn't like my life choices. I have half a mind to try and sue because "consider release" if they are capable isn't their choice. My nurses were great but the doctor was awful. I amad and came home to EAT. I had 3 solid meals after because of the starvation. Great I had 8 bags of fluids. Having fluids on fluids doesn't help diagnose anything. If I could give zero stars I would. The debacle we just went through with my 92-year-old father is unconscionable. All I can say is make sure you get a confirmation call from the financial department regarding insurance coverage BEFORE you let the scheduler book your procedure. The procedure my father needs was is not something that is unnecessary or can wait much longer. Our father was not supposed to eat or drink anything after midnight. We got to the hospital an hour before the procedure, as instructed, completed the paperwork, then found out an hour later when being checked in that he was out of network. At this point it had been more than t6 hours since he’d had anything to eat or drink. She then asked didn’t the financial department call you last night? Um, NO they didn’t. She said w

This hospital is going downhill really fast, use to be a good place to go for services. But the service are far from good, I like to know what happened to them why the 360 turn around in the way this hospital is running. I use to recommend it to friends and even strangers, but will never do that again. Need to clean up your act and get back to being the hospital you use to be.

I had a major gall bladder attack on Christmas Eve morning, was rushed to the emergency room and received emergency gall bladder surgery on Christmas Day. Amazing I can get that kind of care that quickly on those days. I am 66 and it was my first hospital visit and first surgery. I sincerely appreciate the care I received from a friendly and attentive staff. I described myself as a hospital rookie and definitely got a quick education. A special shout out to Rita, Alyson, Adam, Dr Hoffman, Dr Roth and Sara. I have missed some names and realize next time I will be writing stuff down. Thank you all again and take care.
