Columbia Dentistry for Children

Just took my 20 month old son here for his first ever appointment and we were beyond impressed!! I did not know what to expect from a first dentist appointment, but they did a fantastic job meeting my son at his age level while still addressing my concerns as a parent. My son even climbed up into the dentist’s lap after the examination was over because he loved him so much! I did have to pay out of pocket, but even if my insurance didn’t reimburse me (Delta Dental does) it would have been worth it to me! We received great advice about the future of my son’s dental health. The hygienists and other staff made my son feel so cared for and special. We will be back!!

Honestly I'm shocked to see so many negative reviews. This is by far the best pediatric dental office I've ever been to. Dr Stine and the entire staff are incredible. I knew beforehand they didn't accept my daughters' insurance and all expenses would be out of pocket, but we were in a crunch and needed some work done. Unfortunately I had to go to a different dentist that accepts their insurance and my oldest daughter (7 years old) is begging me to go back to Dr Stein and Columbia Dentistry for Children. If we could afford it, we'd be there without hesitation. They're incredible. Don't let the bad reviews fool you, the place I'm taking my children now has better reviews but it's not even close to the level of care provided here.

We loved this dentists office. It was wonderful. They suddenly dropped an insurance that is provided to a large employer in Columbia. Not a whole lot of notice to the change left us scrambling to find a pediatric dentist. Shockingly, in a town that doesn’t really have many choices for pediatric dentists. It really left a lot of people scrambling. I was also told by their office I could pay out of network prices to keep them. I’m sorry but who in an average family income can afford the price of a cleaning or procedure out of pocket.

BEWARE ‼️ I brought my daughter here. They didn't accept her insurance. I paid, and took her to a dentist that does. Alex, from Columbia Dentistry for children, EMERGENCY HOTLINED me to family services and accused me of neglect. Ms.Buckman did this AFTER she called me and asked me if I had scheduled her at a new dentist; I informed her that I had indeed. Of course, the social worker came to our home and found no concerns. But this should have never happened. This wasted precious resources needed for children that are actually being neglected or abused. It's also disheartening as a good parent, that does everything right, and to still have a stranger (with access to your child's medical history) call an emergency service to report you for changing dentists. You should be mindful of this bef

My 4 yo had dental surgery in office today, and we were very pleased with Dr. Scott, the office, the anesthesiology team, and the results! Our son needed quite a bit of work done, and the team answered all of our questions and treated our son very well, he even wet himself when he first went under, and they had his cloths washed and dried before recovery (which doesn’t really matter given the seriousness of what we were there for, but made us feel as though they had thought of everything), it was quite expensive given our coverage, but I feel like we couldn’t have made a better choice! Thank you!
