Colorado West Emergency Physical

Had a medical emergency in September 2025, got it completely covered by medicaid and I did not have to pay anything. I received a text from "Colorado West Emergency Physicians Llc" (not the company my bill was with) in January 2026 (4 months after i had gone to the hospital) saying i owe almost $1500! after investigating and checking with the actual company my bill is with, I do not owe anything. these people are scam artists who hope someone sees a raging medical bill, panics, and pays it without checking. DO NOT SEND THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY IF THEY ASK FOR IT. talk directly to who billed you and your insurance first.

While on vacation my husband contracted Legionnaires disease and was hospitalized for 3 weeks. All bills were covered by our insurance. Several months later received a bill from Colorado West Emergency physicians for $1498.00. When I called with questions I could hear multiple people talking in the background like a call center. The person I spoke with had a very heavy accent which was hard to understand. Got no where. Called our insurance, all bills paid in full. Received another bill from Colorado West for same amount. Called again. This time the person told me they were sending a voucher and asked for my credit card info. I said no and they continued trying to get me to give it to them. I hung up. This is VERY much a scam.

Similar situation to everyone else complaining. I miraculously got a text that my bill was sent to collections, that I never received because they had my address wrong!! They had an address down that doesn't even exist, yet it is somehow my responsibility to know I had a bill floating around.

Received a bill on 6-24-2025 from a hospital visit from 9-18-2023. They did not bill my insurance on time so the bill was not paid by insurance. They are now trying to receive the entire payment in full. The line was disconnected the first time I tried to call. A month later I was able to get in touch with them. They gave the excuse that they had gone through billing changes. I'm working on disputing these charges now. These people need to be taken to court for the problems they cause. I'm ready to file a class action lawsuit if you are. Need a few dozen people with the same experience as the rest of us. This business needs to be shut down

Like many here, I went to the ER 2 years ago and was signed up for a one time, one year insurance plan as a student through the hospital. I was told that I did not owe anything and the bill was paid. 1 years later I receive a letter in the mail saying my records show I do not have any insurance and complications were had--the letter stated it was not a bill. It asked me to contact them as soon as possible. For 3 months I tried contacting them to no success so I believed it was a scam. Fast forward another year and I am sent a bill that I owe $923 this company whom I was not even made aware I was in contact with when I made my visit.
