Very nice staff, but extremely long wait. Waited for 30 minutes for my daughter’s initial triage, but then another three hours for next tests, all the while sick children are running around spreading germs. Likely would have been better off staying home rather than risk getting sick with another ailment.

The absolute worst experience we had yesterday. We waited over 2 1/2 hours in the waiting room after our daughter was vomiting nonstop. We finally get taken into the back. The nurse does not come in and do any basic vital signs for over an hour. I had to hook her up personally to all the equipment. We waited over nine hours for them to tell us that our daughter had a stomach bug. The lab took over four hours just to get her urine sample back. Pure laziness and lack for any patient care at all. I'm completely ashamed to say that I work for this healthcare organization. We were treated like a second class citizen at best. The triage nurse Amret Rama was completely unprofessional and rude. The staff on the Thursday midnight shift have no bedside manners and should be immediately removed from

Visited the Pediatric Radiology department for a chest x-ray. 🩻 Chest x-ray is walk in only, not appointment needed. They said MRIs require an appt. Allocate about 1 hour for your visit. Bring your ID (adults only) to enter the hospital. Bring the prescription for the X-ray. Parking nearby is very difficult. We ended up at self parking lot 🅿️. We were able to validate our parking ticket at the radiology department during our appointment, so bring yours with you in case it applies to your visit. You hand the validated ticket to staff in the booth upon exiting - they will let you exit the lot without a fee.

My 14-month-old baby was admitted to the emergency department at Cohen Children’s Medical Center on October 14 due to a virus, and we were discharged on October 16. The doctors were incredibly professional, kind, and attentive — they truly went above and beyond for us. I will never forget the respect and care shown by the nurses. They treated my baby as if he were their own child and made me feel completely at home. They provided everything we needed and made sure both my baby and I were as comfortable as possible. The hygiene and cleanliness were perfect. During our stay, I interacted with three nurses — two of them took care of us for two days, and on the day of discharge, a new nurse came on shift. Even though I only met her for a few hours, she also left a lasting impression with her

Busy pediatric ER with many sick children ... I understand the strain staff are under. The nurses were excellent: kind, attentive, and professional. We were placed on a hallway bed and given a general timeframe for next steps, but when that passed there was little follow-up or communication. When I asked the physician for an update, the response felt dismissive, including being told to “be patient.” Afterward, a social worker was sent to address how I spoke to the physician, which felt disproportionate given that I was calm and simply asking for clarity. Clear, proactive communication, even brief check-ins, would greatly improve the experience for families.
