CJW Med Center-Chippenham Campus

I had an appointment scheduled here for an MRI that I’ve been waiting for for over a month. After driving 2 hours, miserable and distraught, I arrived at my appointment time just to be turned away because I was never told I needed to be there 30 minutes early. I told the lady at the desk this and the only thing she could say was well you were supposed to be on the table at that time, not just getting here. It was a horrible experience and very unprofessional of this facility. I will be calling my doctor and asking to be sent elsewhere. The only reason I have a star was because the young lady that helped me reschedule my appointment over the phone was kind and very understanding.

Over the years it has been my go to b/c i grew up in southside richmond my entire life....Where should I start 🤔...Labor and delivery had always been the best department in my eyes...but having birthed 5 babies there in the past 17years, my 2nd child( b.11.05.09), was the worst experience! I had a nurse tell me during contractions to sit still and stop yelling while she was disconnecting my IV so i could walk the hall, bc it dont hurt that bad and i had a baby before and i wasnt doing all that when i made the baby...i was 21 then! And when I had to get my epidural the anesthesiologist refused to let me sit up and did it while i lay on my left side ..so i only felt numb on my left side during the ENTIRE delivery....but Dr Diaz was ALWAYS amazing with my deliveries! Had to rush my infant child to the emergency room due to extreme difficulty breathing from an illness. His oxygen level was at 85 and they just sent us home. We got to see his doctor the next morning and he required multiple breathing treatments over the course of a few days. Will never go to this hospital again. Sidenote – there was popcorn and skuz all over the adolescent waiting room floor.

Friendly, caring, professional and expert. I’ve had occasion to visit CJW 3 times in the past month and even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic the staff was caring and efficient. My particular care was through the cardiac wing and these folks were great though I did stay the night once. My room, though a bit older, was spotless and well maintained. The nursing staff was great!

Horrible place! Bathrooms are nasty someone peed all over the floor in one and the other one had razors and nail clippers on the sink. my boyfriend got sick in the chair inbthe waiting area no one came out to clean the floor then the nurse wanted me to clean it up. Been here for 5hours and he still has not been given his pain medicine. The nurses are rude when you ask questions. This place is the worst!
