CityMD Southern Boulevard Urgent Care - Bronx

Very disappointed in my visit. . I took my daughter for possible ear infection/bug in the ear. I know there was a bug because we have an ear camera and saw the bug. I was told by the doctor it was wax, he finally decided to give my child pain reliever and eardrop and said if the pain continues "don't come back here go to the ER". Also, he told the MA to give us a referral for ENT as he was walking through the door. What's the purpose of urgent care if they are not equip with proper equipments to treat patients and better bed side manner. It got worse, I was able to schedule an appointment for ENT through their affiliate Summit Health. She booked me an appointment with an ENT in Yonkers at 7:30 am, as thats the only location with the earliest available appointment only to get there for the

I visited this location for the first time on a Saturday back in May. When I arrived at 8:30 am there was already about 5-6 people online waiting. At the time we had to form a line outside of the building. The staff would let in a few patients at a time where you would register yourself at the Kiosk. The establishment was very clean and organized. I would say my whole visit was under 1 ½ hours including waiting outside in line. The staff were friendly and professional. There is hand sanitizer all around the lobby area. The check-out process was also a breeze. I would visit this location again.

The front desk staff provided excellent customer service, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed with the doctor’s attitude. I came in concerned about my health, and instead of feeling reassured, I was met with frustration and an unprofessional demeanor. As a paying patient, I expect to be treated with respect and understanding, especially when I’m taking the initiative to ensure my health is okay. If you’re unhappy with your job, perhaps it’s time to consider a career change. It’s crucial for healthcare providers to treat people with empathy. I would advise seeking care at a different urgent care, preferably in Manhattan, where patients are treated with kindness and respect.

There is a disrespectful young woman that works there in the morning. She is brown skin complexion, and have black curly hair. I'm going for she's the one who opens the door at 7a.m., despite the fact that City MD opens at 8 a.m. She was rude to me before entering the store. All I was doing was crouching on the side of the entrance waiting for the #5 bus after a long day of work, There are no signs indicating that you cannot be in front of this place that is CLOSED while waiting for the bus.

No problem with front desk but doctors are awful. If you have a constant symptom, they will give you the same medication treatment expecting a different result which is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Doctors treat you for no more than 3 minutes and tell you to leave. Quantity over quality.
