CityMD Riverdale Urgent Care - Bronx

I want to start by saying that the nurses and front desk staff were professional, welcoming, and helpful. They are the only reason this facility gets one star. I brought my son to this urgent care because he had been experiencing chest pain for three days. He described the pain as worsening and spreading down the left side of his chest. The nurse took his vitals and documented all of his symptoms for the provider. She stepped out and said the doctor would be in shortly. When she returned, she explained that the doctor requested an EKG. She performed the EKG and again told us the doctor would be in soon to discuss the results. A few minutes later, a man entered the room and immediately said, “So you’re here because of chest discomfort? His EKG is normal, but let me listen to his heart.” H

The front desk receptionist, Nayeli, was extremely helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived. She went out of her way to get a second opinion for me, which made all the difference. Thanks to her, I was able to get a painful embedded earring safely removed. Dr. Jones was also very helpful and professional, and the medical assistant, Marlenny, was kind and attentive throughout the visit. I truly appreciate the care and compassion from the entire team.

An excellent all-around experience: friendly, helpful, efficient staff; quick service; excellent care. The fact that they're open to 11P is a huge help! We went in because my son needed stitches after a minor hockey injury. Dr. Bowen was kind, thorough, helpful and skilled. Can't say enough about the place. If you need good health care quickly, this is the place.

Scribe and PA were fantastic and fast. However the front desk receptionist was extremely rude. I work from 7a-7:30p, and i rushed to get there by 7:45pm. I work as a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts. I was unable to get tested at my hospital since it was so busy, but I was feeling so sick and had ongoing fevers I had to come in, or else I really never come in for symptoms. The receptionist was very rude and telling me I had all day to get here, and she’s going to be here until 10 pm because of me, etc and she’s too busy and I should come back tomorrow. Also she rolled her eyes when I mentioned that I feel feverish and congestion. That’s not how you treat a patient, and they close at 8. I felt bad I came in late, but I was so sick I wanted to get tested for the flu, so that way I can see

This place did everything it could do with grace and efficiency. I was a walk-in, limping, and I was given one page (!) to fill out, and I didn't have time to read the book i'd brought. I was seen my medical assistant Jessica, who was friendly and expert; then Dr. Katkovsky came in, looked closely, listened closely, and gave me both an explanation, a prediction, and an antibiotic. On the way out, I got papers from Tabitha, who was equally friendly and efficient. The whole visit was delightfully compact; everyone laughed at my nervous-patient jokes, and I went out into the night feeling that I had been treated extra-kindly by informed human beings. I know this isn't the stereotype of urgent care, and people in pain always see flaws, but this place is GREAT. I don't want to have a reas
