CityMD Mott Haven Urgent Care - Bronx

I am writing this review while being held at this CityMD for a mandated 3-hour period, waiting to provide a second urine sample, because of the staff's incompetence. I checked in for a pre-employment drug screen and waited an hour. The assistant finally called me, verified my info, and handed me the cup, telling me only to "pee to the line." She provided ZERO instruction on which specific restroom to use. Naturally, I used the clearly marked "Patients Only" restroom directly nearby. While I was mid-stream collecting the sample, the staff began aggressively knocking on the door, demanding I open it because I was in the "wrong bathroom." I had to yell back that the room was occupied and that I was in the middle of collection. When I finished, I was told the sample was void. The assistant

Place isn’t so bad but it was really unprofessional for the manager to be reprimanding the PSRs in the front of patients. I shouldn’t know that the gender of someone was misgendered in their chart and that the psr mistake now has to be reported to the VP of the company. And what made matters worse is the joy and sarcasm used from the manager who was explaining why the issue had to be escalated. You can tell the manager specifically does not like that psr because she then continued to belittle her be comparing her training grade to the psr that was sitting next to her. Insinuating she was not good enough. I will say the psr remained extremely respectful and did not take the bate from the managers passive aggressive attitude.

What a clumsy place. In this “urgent” practice, you wait almost an hour to see the doctor just for you to go home with acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Skip this urgent care places unless it’s something serious. And even then. You’re better off in a hospital.

This is probably one of the worst locations I’ve ever been to! MDs take FOREVER and the music in the front is LOUD no patient who is distressed should wait so long to be seen. Other than that front desk is very friendly and helpful. MAs aren’t too good. As someone who works at a hospital, it’s disappointing to me to see how people are in these types of facilities. All they care abt is the money! Once you sign in and give your insurance card it’s OVER! Just from MY experience

They are really quick to get you in and out. The Dr barely checked me out and my insurance charges me $50. They should be more thorough. I told the doctor that I think I have a sinus infection because I have pain in my face along with cold like symptoms And he tells me to breathe in deep and before I could breathe the second time he said that my lungs were clear. Then he tells me to Open my mouth and say ah and before I could even say ah he said oh it's a viral. This is the 2nd time Ive left feeling like I wasn't really taken care of. I noticed the quality of the place has been going down since after COVID. UPDATE: I got a second opinion from somewhere else and the doctor at the urgent care on 138th Street misdiagnosed me and didn't give me antibiotics for my sinus infection that I told h
