CityMD Journal Square Urgent Care - New Jersey

I'm not surprised at the negative experience I had at this location since most of my dealings with this corporation have been unsatisfactory - atrocious. The latest: after one visit which was uneventful, even pleasant (why they're getting any stars at all), and during which my insurance was accepted, I came in for a second one -- and was told that my insurance is not accepted at their NJ locations! If I wanted to have the service I'd come in for (an MMR booster), I'd have to pay $225. The employee who told me this, of course, had no idea why my insurance had been accepted the first time, but not the second. Their corporate customer service was no help, either: after sending a couple of automated replies to the effect that their inbox was full and not accepting new messages, they sent me a

I had a wonderful experience with CityMD in Journal Square. The process was quick and easy. Filling everything online prior to my appointment saved so much time. The front office immediately greeted me and started the check in process. The medical office personnel were very professional, informative and friendly. My appointment probably took a total of 30 minutes including initial wait time. Everything was extremely clean and smelled amazing. They even did a follow up call with me. I’d recommend this urgent care facility to anyone and if needed, I’d one hundred percent go back.

Wasn’t the best experience. The front desk was very nice / friendly. But the doctor I saw spent maybe 3-4 minutes with me, didn’t really answer my questions, said they would be right back and then never came back. The nurse came in to check me out and tell me I can leave. Wasn’t helpful and the of course they charged a lot for the visit. Would say go somewhere else if you can.

Disorganized. I made an appointment, came in at scheduled time, spoke to front desk to let them know I arrived, they said to complete an intake form so that I could upload insurance, 40 mins later I asked how much longer to find out I was never checked in, and that just because I filled out the intake form, and spoke to someone, it doesn’t automatically “flip” to check in, yet how am I supposed to know? Disorganized, not communicative, lazy, the woman I spoke to came back with a coffee and Cheetos, clearly people are not on top of their job, not sure how a patient is supposed to know this inefficient process. Unacceptable. & then when I asked how much longer it would the other woman at the front desk would not give me an answer, she said you’re next, I asked her a second time, how much lon

75 bucks for a pregnancy test. Symptoms completely neglected. Suggested treatment: drink water (after I said I couldn't without puking and hadnt eaten in 24h+)
