If I could give negative stars, I would. I went in for a routine DOT physical in preparation for my CDL exam. Due to new regulations, the medical certificate must be electronically submitted or emailed by the doctor. The staff were friendly and had a smile, but completely useless. They refused to email or electronically submit the form and insisted they could only provide a printed copy. I escalated the issue to the manager, who gave the same response. I then requested a refund since the exam was useless for CDL purposes, and that was also refused. I went to another provider the same day who had no issue handling the submission correctly, which confirms this office is simply not up to date. The first person who “helped” me at reception was terrible, I had an issue with my insurance and she immediately made me feel as if I was an idiot for not knowing how insurance works when companies get switched over when I did not have the physical card yet. I asked her if there was anyway she can look it up. She made a face and said no. I went to try to figure it out and then I come back in and started talking to the second receptionist who told me to wait for the initial receptionist to come back to help me. Nope she never came back, her coverage came in and questioned if the second receptionist was working alone and then that initial receptionist was chatting with someone in a room somewhere. Can’t recommend this place. I was exposed to flu at work and came down with flu symptoms 48hr later. I came in for a covid/flu swab but they only swabbed just the tip of the nostril not high enough or long enough for an effective test. They told me the rapid test was negative and go home to rest. They didn’t send out the specimen. Needless to say, I had a swab the following day (not at this urgent care) which showed + Influenza A, I was given tamiflu and an inhaler for my chest tightness and cough by my doctor. I originally went to this urgent care because it was a sunday and my doctor was closed but I wish I didn’t waste my time. I tried to call back the urgent care the following day just to educate and explain the situation so someone else doesn’t have to go through a similar situation b
The people that are behind the counter as you arrive know nothing about how medical insurance works or what your co-pay is, and very distracted. I was overcharged for my copay after I told them what it was. Said they will call my insurance, never did. I demanded a void on the incorrect copay charge. Receptionist said don't worry, we will refund you by mail. LOL. That will never happen. Then they couldn't void it because they needed the manager. Never got the manager until I said get the manager. Manager corrected the charge. This delayed medical attention and a complete unacceptable waste of time caused by inefficient, knowledgeable employees who tell you things that are incorrect. I do not recommend this location. Will never go there again.
Terrible experience. Was prescribed a medication and was told three separate times by City MD that they sent the prescription to my pharmacy, with each time the pharmacy saying they had never received the prescription. The pharmacist eventually called City MD who told us that they did not send out the prescription because “your insurance doesn’t cover it.” This has never been an issue in any situation ever. Whether or not my insurance covers a medication is between me and the pharmacy. A doctor refusing to send a medication to pharmacy because insurance doesn’t cover it is ludicrous, especially after telling me and the pharmacist that the prescription was sent three times. When they finally sent the prescription, my insurance covered it. Unbelievable.
