CityMD Freehold Urgent Care

This office is outstanding! We saw a warm, friendly, efficient staff and received the best care from Dr. Shah, Amber, Jenn, Stefy, Aubrey and Sara, their welcoming receptionist. It has taken us a year to finally find the kind of facility that offers the finest type of professional service that we remember from years ago. As an elderly couple, this has been a godsend. Today’s visit got a 2 thanks to Amanda at the front desk, she tipped the scale for everyone after her. Being the 1st patient, as I registered, Amanda requested my insurance. While I searched my clutch, Amanda asked for the type of insurance I have. I replied, but she must not of heard me. Then while proceeding to give Amanda the physical card she looks at me, and says or ask, maybe both, “Is it Medicare or Medicaid?”. The offense resulted from the assumption. As the old folks say, “Do not ASSUME, because you make an assumption out of you, not me!”. With hesitation I looked with a quick intense look of annoyance, and disgust. I came in because I needed to be there. Amanda came in because she was required to be there to receive, greet, and register patients, NOT JUDGE! If it were Me

I went there today and the doctor looked in the ear. I said I had a problem with, and he says he sees nothing, but I am sitting here in pain, they never took my temperature, when he wanted to look in my right ear, he was standing on the other side. He told me to completely twist my body around, now I’ve been to enough doctors to know that The equipment they use has long enough wires to reach the other side, but he was just too stupid and lazy, do yourself a favor don’t go here, I’m 56 years old and been in a lot of walk-ins and unfortunately a lot of them are not great, but I never felt the need to post a review Until this one, stay away! and according to the other reviews, it looks like they overcharge, I paid $75 for my co-pay. I don’t remember paying that kind of money anywhere else.

I was told by at least different reps from my insurance company that I should not be charged my usual copays for visiting a doctor hospital or urgent care center as I had met all my outdoor let expenses for the year yet I wasn’t allowed to be seen unless I paid the $60 copay. If I had the money I wouldn’t have sat on the phone 3 separate times with my insurance to make sure I wouldn’t have to pay anything. Highly disappointed that I couldn’t get the care I needed when I was sick.

Boyfriend went today with a referral from the east Brunswick location (the BEST city md) to get a chest xray. The front desk were all rude and unprofessional, and the xray tech was the absolute NASTIEST woman we have ever encountered in the medical field. See other bad reviews about her, freehold should really reconsider her employment as there seem to be more bad reviews than good ones about her. Condescending, snarky and just an unpleasant woman. Take the ride 20 minutes up to east Brunswick and save yourself the hassle.
