CityMD Brooklyn Heights Urgent Care - Brooklyn

I’ve been here twice in the last year and each visit has been excellent. I’ve also had the same Dr each time and she had great bedside manner.

I visited CityMD due to a severe headache; it felt like my head was going to explode. I was the only patient there, yet the intake process still took over 20 minutes. After that, a nurse briefly checked on me and left. I was then left alone in a room with no ventilation OR AIR for over 30 minutes. No updates, no follow-up, nothing. Despite how awful I felt, I eventually had to walk out on my own, feeling even worse than when I arrived. I sincerely hope my insurance isn’t billed for this visit, because I received absolutely no care. Completely unacceptable experience.

Quick, friendly, and efficient. Mariana the tech and Benjamin the PA were both excellent and helpful. Be sure to schedule an appointment for quicker turnaround.

If you come here and are treated by an older female PA (white, brown hair), immediately request someone else. My partner and I came to this City MD because she suspected she had a double ear infection due to extremely swollen lymph nodes, difficulty hearing, and a sore throat. After giving her ears a quick glance, the PA immediately determined that there was “no swelling,” and when my partner said that she’s had plenty of ear infections in the past and that her ears canals felt enlarged, the PA said that the the swelling she was experiencing was a “sensation,” not actual swelling. She then said that my partner’s ear pain was probably due to strep throat (?) which has never occurred when my partner has had strep before… so, unsurprisingly, a rapid strep throat test came back negative.
