CityMD Bed-Stuy Urgent Care - Brooklyn

The nurse and doctor were really nice - the stars are for them. However, one of the admin staff at the front desk was terrible at her job - messed up my pharmacy sends twice for an urgent treatment, I ended up paying for the meds myself at the 2nd pharmacy because I didn’t have time for more travels and wait. She also messed up my billing for no insurance even though I provided insurance information in the forms and presented physical insurance card. She confirmed but then I got surprise bills later. When I went to another location, they read the system and informed me that I was billed the amount because I was noted as having no insurance. It was so insane and frustrating. Please have good ppl at the front because even though the medical staff are nice, customers will never come back for

We got clear information from everyone who helped us - the front desk team, Sidney, Dr. Blaise and the xray tech (whose name I didn’t get, but he’s wonderful - and a gifted artist). The team is professional and moves quickly in view of the patient load, but they were still all warm and generous. Urgent care is never fun but the team made our visit much easier and lighter. Best City MD I’ve been to in NYC. Smooth and efficiently run office, I was in and out during peak post-work hours in 25 minutes. Love all the ladies who work there - super friendly, always put a smile on my face, and their knowledgable medical experts have always helped me out and given me thorough care. I’ve been coming to this urgent care for years for a quick diagnosis and medication RX. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciate the care provided by Dr. Princess Skyers. She really listens to your concerns and gets to the bottom of your symptoms no matter how complicated they may be. I had reoccurring infections and she helped me get to the root of them. I went to this urgent care last summer for severe ear pain. The doctor admitted upfront that she wasn’t an ENT specialist but said she’d take a look anyway. The moment she looked in my ear, she literally jumped back with her eyes wide; then quickly composed herself and told me “there’s nothing wrong.” Something didn’t sit right, so I went to an actual ENT. They immediately diagnosed me with black mold all over my ear canal. I was told that if I hadn’t sought a second opinion, I could have ended up with permanent hearing loss. This is the level of “care” you get here. dismissive, careless, and potentially dangerous. If you have a serious issue, skip this urgent care and go straight to a specialist.
