CityMD Bayonne Urgent Care - New Jersey

I’ve had a bit of a journey with this clinic over the last few weeks and while the end result was excellent I wanted to share my full experience. I visited a total of three times for a stubborn ear infection and muffled hearing everyone I encountered from the people working the front desk to the assistance and doctors that seen me was polite and professional, but it took some persistence to get to the root of the problem. On my first visit, I was told my ear was swollen and infected. The doctor had mentioned some wax buildup, but didn’t think it was enough to cause the muffle hearing I was experiencing so I was started on amoxicillin when that didn’t fully resolve it. I returned for a second visit. I was told the swelling was still slightly there and was prescribed a stronger course of pr

Horrible front desk staff. The woman with the curly hair was incredibly rude. Pointing rudely at the paper to sign and speaking to me with an attitude. If that wasn't inappropriate enough, when walking to the room we bumped into each other in the hallway and she did not excuse herself. Highly unprofessional behavior. I understand in tight spaces like a hallway this may occur but her behavior and lack of acknowledging she bumped into a patient who is there seeking care was appalling. She seemed much more concerned with gossiping to her coworkers. In regards to care, I feel given the circumstances I was provided with adequate care and appropriate care information. This location would have received 5 stars as their PA and assistant were professional and empathetic. The front desk however, they were unprofessional (chatting loudly, laughing) which fine if you are not that busy but when there’s work to be done then you should try and at least provide professional service. The one girl at the front desk said they didn’t take my insurance so I called my own insurance and they reassured me this location did take it. The second girl then took my card and when I asked ok can you verify this she said “well that’s what they told you” …well isn’t your job to double check? And somehow they both were bothered by me calling my insurance. This is a minor inconvenience but as you all know we are all going through different issues/concerns the last thing you want to

This place is great. The PA David took the time to clean out both of my blocked ears. I highly recommend this place. The medical assistants and everyone were so helpful as well.

Easy and quick check-in process. After being diagnosed with the flu, I came back for a follow-up because of some wheezing and chest sounds. I saw the PA, who was very kind, patient, and thorough — she answered all my questions and concerns, and I left with peace of mind and a clear plan of action. The staff were also professional and friendly. This was my second visit here, and I didn’t experience any of the rudeness mentioned in other reviews. Overall, a great experience! 👍
