CityMD Baychester Urgent Care - Bronx

I visited this City MD in Bay Plaza for the first time , if it is possible to give a 10 star review I honestly would… Professionalism , courtesy and service at its best immediately you walk into this health care facility. The staff are very polite, professional and extremely efficient.. The Medical Director was very friendly knowledgeable and hospitable . From the minute I walked in that door with 2 kids up until I left all I have for them is admiration and praise . I will definitely recommend this City Md in Bay plaza by the Chase bank to people who value service.. I salute your entire team for a wonderful and memorable first impression….

I came to the front desk at 11:01a. Was told to scan the barcode or fill out paperwork to check in. I tried scanning the barcode but couldn’t follow through due to lack of cellphone service; but I was able to go online and schedule an appointment for 11:45. The appointment was scheduled at 11:06a and I went to the front desk to complete the check in. The front desk staff said I was checked in, and to have a seat. Two hours later from the time I checked in, I watched the waiting area go from crowded to empty and then slowly crowded again. When I was 100% sure that they were calling in patients that came more than an hour after I did, I got up and asked the same front desk staff if everything was okay with my check in. I am a senior who when to MD urgent care on 9/16/2025, for urgent treatment. I presented my Humana Medicare and Medicaid Gold SNP insurance card and they charge me $45 copay that I didn’t have. The should with out a question know that. When I was informed the same evening I was not suppose to pay that money, when I call MD urgent care billing I was told there is a credit for $45 and I have to wait 4 weeks for a refund. I am a senior on a very limited income and needed my money. Be sure to not let this happen to you.

Went in today for the first time . Wait time was less than 30 minutes for a Saturday. Nurse and doctor Joyce were very nice. Very fast. Was in and out

Malaysia and other lady at front desk are very kind and helpful , security was kind . Environment was clean …. The doctor !!!! Is the problem spent 2 minutes in the room . Then asked me what my friend a retired doctor thought it was … then diagnosed my child with said condition. No cultures , no further testing . Nor even questions to better understand or investigate the symptoms or what’s going on . Very dismissive doctor ! Don’t waste your time , unless you just going to say hi to the nice ladies in the front .
