CityMD Bay Ridge Urgent Care - Brooklyn

My wife and I have been to Bay Ridge CityMD twice each, and it’s been a 50/50 experience. On one hand, it’s a well-organized facility with quick appointments and professional staff. However, our recent experience with one specific doctor was incredibly jarring. I saw Kenneth Testa, DO, and the interaction was unprofessional from the start. He didn't introduce himself, and after a brief exam, he dismissively diagnosed me with a common cold. When I respectfully mentioned that identical symptoms two months ago were treated with a specific medication that worked well, he became combative. He told me, "If you don't like what I prescribe, you should find another urgent care," and stated he wouldn't "have a discussion" while other patients were waiting. I ended the conversation to de-escalate.

The visit was quick and the doctor gave me my first dose of antibiotic jump start before filling my prescription. This was very kind of him to do.so and very helpful. These are the little things that make a difference and not go unnoticed. I shall return. Thank you.

🛑🛑🛑NEVER AGAIN AT CITY MD, THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY 🛑🛑🛑 Went there for a physical examination for a job. Paid $225 on the day I went. Then received a bill of $108 for a doctor I didn't even see they just took blood from me, they did nothing and billed me $108. Then received another bill of $225 for another doctor that just listened my lungs and my heart. Didn't receive the labs bill yet. Please go to your provider and get things done. This place will bill you $225 to just enter the building, $108 to just withdraw blood and $225 to receive your results. I wish I knew they will bill me for all this before going there. AVOID CITY MD and go to your providers or ER.

I went to CityMD because I had an unresolved cough that kept me awake all night. Unfortunately, conventional cough medicine does not help me, and once in a blue moon, I need a cough medication that contains Codeine. I explained my concern to Dr Dharmasena Sanath and urged him to look up my information, as I had received the medication last year from another provider at the same clinic. I left the place with no answer as to what was causing my illness, no Covid, flu, or RSV test was completed. Also, he refused my request and sent me away with Bromphen to take every 6 hours. There was exactly nothing done, no physical assessment, no lung sounds. Aside from my vital signs, nothing has been done.
