CHRISTUS Urgent Care

I visited this location on October 13, 2025. I had a sore throat and an earache and was feeling miserable. Arrived shortly after 8:00 am and since I had never been here before I was expecting to have to fill out tons of paperwork, but I didn't. All I had to was show my ID and my insurance cards and I was done. I got called back about 8:35 am and was initially seen by Cindy, who took my temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, etc. Then we got to the part where they needed to know what current medications I was on. I was expecting this and brought a printout, but Cindy was able to pull up my medications on the computer from a third party and I just had to verify, so that went pretty fast. I came to this urgent care feeling extremely unwell and my symptoms had lasted for a few days and were progressively getting worse. My blood pressure had been extremely high and causing blurred vision, headache, and other symptoms. The nurse practitioner, Howard Scott, didn’t listen to my concerns and advised me to just go home and wait it out. I ended up in the Emergency Room after that as I was having a reaction to a medication I was prescribed. This nurse practitioner took ZERO time to hear my concerns and dismissed me without taking a second thought. Who knows what would have happened if I just kept taking the prescribed medication without knowing that it was causing a reaction in my body. I left this urgent care feeling defeated and crying! I was seen at the CHRISTUS Urgent Care on Broadway in Tyler. The staff were amazing, from the young man who checked me in to medical staff who took such good care of me. Dr. Odom and the two nurses, Mary and Sara worked together to get my pain under control and get me comfortable. I will definitely recommend this Urgent Care to others.

I had an exceptional experience at this urgent care. From the moment we walked in, the front office staff was welcoming and kind. The medical assistant and nurse were both professional, compassionate, and attentive to my daughter’s needs. The doctor not only provided excellent care but also shook my hand, which made the experience feel very personal and respectful. Everyone truly went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was cared for. I’m very grateful for the outstanding service we received!

Trinity Mother Frances by Lowe’s. I saw A PA M. Hill. I had an infection on the back of my head. I am prone to infections after bee stings. I saw M Hill. I had pictures of my scalp. She said I don’t need pictures because I am looking at it. I tried to explain I am prone to abscesses. Didn’t listen. I was in terrible pain. Sent me him home with Antibiotics after a 5 minute visit. Went to my appointment with Trinity in Chandler today and saw Dr Jennifer Wilson (EXCELLENT DOCTOR). She listened and looked at my pictures. “You have SHINGLES”. Gave me another prescription.
