Children's Medical Clinic

This clinic is super on it, the nurse team and the other support staff, and our pediatrician Dr. Roseman is so wonderful. She truly takes the time to answer any and all questions parents have and never makes you feel rushed or like you’re asking something stupid. She’s super thorough and also gives really good advice around infant/baby/toddler care. Her approach is very grounded yet open-minded and yielding to each family. I feel so supported there by the whole practice and definitely by Dr. Roseman, I’m very thankful to have found them and I’d recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Santacrose is such a wonder doctor. My son feels so comfortable talking to him about how he is feeling and Dr S listens and validates him. So happy we made the switch! He helps ease my mind, too.

We have experienced nothing but the best, most thorough and thoughtful care from all of the doctors at Children’s Medical Clinic. Going above and beyond, Dr Kayumi-Rashti even called us back on a holiday weekend to follow up on an emergency room visit we did while traveling. We have also been given excellent referrals for specialists when needed. I leave every visit feeling like my concerns have been addressed and our children have received excellent care. I’m so grateful we found this clinic of an amazing team of doctors who really care for their patients and the emotional concerns of the parents as well.

We have been taking our kids to see Dr. Kayumi at the clinic for five years. She's exceptional, but we've also had good experiences with the other doctors, and it's good to know they are there to cover if Dr. Kayumi is not available on short notice. We've never had a problem getting in for time sensitive issues. They got us though the chaos and near weekly doctors notes of the pandemic!

I am writing this review to share our longstanding experience with the Childrens Medical Clinic of Santa Barbara, where our kids have been patients for years. While I don't want to come across as overly negative, I feel it's essential to highlight some persistent issues we have encountered. Firstly, a significant concern we've faced is the medical center's policy of refusing to see patients until all bills are paid in full. While financial responsibility is understandable, this approach poses challenges for families without immediate access to funds. I inquired about this policy and was told that those unable to pay should take their child to the ER for treatment. This raises questions about the legality and ethicality of such a practice, though I haven't had the chance to fully research
