Dr. Hendrix is one of the best doctors my children have ever seen. She explained everything in great detail to us as to what was going on. My daughter is terrified of Doctors but Dr. Hendrix walked in, sat on the floor and immediately started to color with her and comfort her. I love having a doctor who actually loves their job!! 10/10 for Doctor Hendrix!!
I've taken my nephew, niece, and daughter here, and every time, the experience has been amazing. They make you feel at home and that they truly care about your child. My niece was the only one that had to get admitted, and it was scary, but we prayed, and God blessed us with amazing doctors and nurses and wouldn't go anywhere else. I recommend bringing your kids here.
I am extremely disappointed with the care my 11-month-old son received during both of our recent ER visits at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. We brought him in twice for trouble breathing and obvious respiratory distress. During the first visit, they gave him one breathing treatment—which was fine—but then the doctor actually asked us if we thought he would be okay to go home. If we knew that, we wouldn’t have been in the ER to begin with. They did no testing, no monitors, nothing to truly evaluate his breathing. We left with no real answers and no clear plan. When my son still wasn’t getting better, we returned for the same labored breathing. We waited 3 hours just to see a resident, then another hour to see a second doctor, only to be told once again that it was “the peak day.” Agai
Absolutely amazing children's hospital. They took in my daughter at 6pm and get us in a room by 630pm through the ER. The wait was very slow as usual.for hospitals but the team was freaking fantastic! So many really kind and super caring people came to see and meet my daughter while she was I the trauma unit here. This hospital has two play rooms on the 5th floor trauma unit. They have a soft inside playground areas on the 4th floor. They have an outside patio area and so many amazing games for the kids. The nurses offered stickers and coloring pages and other games. My daughter even got a popsicle while in the ER. The admitted rooms are very cozy with two pull out bed and a recliner chair. All staff here is super friendly and dedicated to make the stay super comforting.
The people are great and they really care. Torn on giving 5 stars though, wellstar is clearly not making this a better place. Wait times are abysmal and business processes seem disorganized and lacking
