Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Urgent Care Center - North Point

I signed up online to be more efficient and not to waste time and when I showed up 45 minutes later for my appointment I was told my child had an hour and a half wait. So why didn't their system reflect this? One of the ladies behind the counter was rude upon asking a question and was directed to a worn well vist waiting room, which almost had no separation from the sick waiting area, maybe 15 foot down a 5-7 wide corridor. So in essence, it seems our time is being wasted by dubious customer service, which doesn't matter because we are most likely going to walking outta here with something we did not come here for. I would either call ahead or avoid this place.

Honestly great service. I drove here 40 mins from Decatur because all of the other CHOA’s were a super long wait 60-100+ mins. This one just so happened to be a short wait and of course I didn't want my sick baby waiting super long to be seen. I walked in and there were not a lot of people here on a Saturday, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I signed in and I sat with a lady to finish up standard paperwork to get me signed in. The nurse was super sweet and a great listener as to why we were in, she took my son’s vitals and tested him for rsv, covid & flu. The pediatrician was nice and welcoming as well. I’m truly grateful for this urgent care. I brought my very sick 7-year-old daughter in last night after six days of a persistent 100+ fever with no improvement following her pediatrician’s initial diagnosis. I needed a second opinion, and I’m so glad I came here. They ran all the necessary tests, and the Dr Kwaji and nurses were incredibly caring and empathetic throughout. When my little one threw up, they treated her with such gentleness and patience. The X-ray technician, Natasha, was especially sweet and genuinely concerned for my daughter’s comfort. Wonderful experience today at CHOA Urgent Care Alpharetta. Dr. Osman was fantastic. Wait times short, friendly staff, and amazing nurses. We were so worried bringing our little one in for stitches but they immediately brought us back to be evaluated. Extremely efficient check in process.

Updated based on our latest visit. Downgraded to 2 stars. This place gets worse every time we go there. Saved our spot online and the system said 1:20 to 1:40 wait. Got there after an hour and they told us it would be 1:40 wait, even though we were already an hour into our 1:40. Total wait until we were seen was 3:20. I get that emergencies arise but that was not why the wait was so long. If you observe what happens, the team here spends 95% of their time sitting in the bullpen waiting on the doctor. It feels like they’re leaving people in rooms to ensure they can justify billing. The same testing and diagnosis that takes over an hour here (after waiting 3:20 to be seen) takes our primary care doctor 10 minutes.
