Children's Health Pediatric Primary Care Dallas

You never want to see your children get sick, but when they do you really need someone to take care of them. Children's is one such a great place. Awesome doctors, great facility, wonderful staff at every step of the way - no matter how complex or tough your situations is. I really appreciate this hospital and staff for everything they do for us and parents.

My son was seen in the emergency room here when he was about 2 1/2. Seeing that I had already established contact here after moving from Chicago I decided it made sense for him to receive care through them. I was told they weren't taking new patients. Fast forward my son is now FIVE YEARS OLD. I need a physical for him to start school so I said to myself they cant still not be taking patients. Guess what??? Three years later and still not taking new patients I know this can't be legal. So many kids have to have aged out of pediatrics in three years this is clearly a lack of oversight.

Recently just called for an appointment. Receptionist was rude. Told me to call within 6 months “if” they are taking new patients and she only work accept me if she has a sibiling that goes here. Really sucks when my daughter is in the Children’s Hospital system. Based on her attitude I wouldn’t recommend this facility at all.

This place is unorganized and mismanaged. Depending on who you talk to, you will get a different answer on something and a whole different experience. They couldn't give me straight answers on some questions I had about a vaccine for my son, after talking to 4 different people, and then they referred us to CVS to get what we ended up finding out was the wrong vaccine. Because of that, he got a vaccine that he's already gotten before. I have also had issues with getting things scheduled and with their pre-check process. Overall, it wasn't a great experience and I wouldn't recommend this place.

This is a hard review to write as the medical staff is amazing. I love all pediatricians, the long hours, and 7 days a week. However, the phone staff that is not medically trained: most are horrible. They have no compassion, or understanding and they keep getting worse. They have point blank told us they are understaffed and can't help. They recently said it's back to school season they are really busy so they have no appointments for kids with asthma who's action plans aren't working. They never apologize for anything. No other office in this building treats you that way except the pediatric group.
