Children's Dental Health of Harrisburg

I waited 8 months for my baby's appointment, and two days before, they canceled it and didn't reschedule. I do not recommend them. ….. They answered something below, but if I wait for another schedule my baby will no longer be a baby and we won’t need them anymore, so THAAAAANK YOU for nothing!

I have been coming to this practice for years. Between 2019 and 2021, everything ran smoothly, but since the COVID-19 pandemic, this place has become a total disaster. There are constant cancellations and rescheduling. On multiple occasions, they have switched scheduled cavity work for simple cleanings at the last minute. ​They are severely understaffed, relying on only one General Dentist (DDS/DMD) who cancels the entire day’s appointments whenever they take time off, showing zero regard for the patients' schedules. Furthermore, the support staff performs cleanings in the absence of the dentist just to avoid canceling more appointments. Ohhh!!! God!!... How can this be possible? I have no way of avoiding it!!! I have 3 children that I frequently bring here for dental care, and there's always a smell of almoniac mixing with the air conditioning. It reminds me of the sloppy urine smell in the school bathrooms or the portable restrooms they put out at the fair. Maybe it's some kind of chemical the doctors use, or carelessness in cleaning the bathrooms, or lack of maintenance of the air conditioning system. After 45 minutes of staying, your sense of smell begins to adapt. but whatever the cause, they should spend at least a few dollars on Air Freshener Dispenser items at Dollar Tree to make up for the stench in the air. I took my son in for a Saturday appointment. We were there for over 2 hours!! He is 4 it was a simple cleaning. The cleaning was done in less the 5 minutes once we got back but waited for over an hour for a dentist to say yes or no if an x-ray said he had any cavities. All so simple why did it take over 2 hours!

So sick of this place whatever you do dont waste ur time ! I waited 3 mi th for my son appointment then 3 days before appointment they canceled rescheduled for a week later very next day after rescheduling they call & canceled again made it for December now call 3 days before Christmas they canceled again ! Now we rescheduled for January well guess what they call me today 29th of December and yes you guessed it they CANCELED AGAIN! & this is for a cavity filling an a cleaning thats it ! This place is the BIGGEST waste of time so please go somewhere then here ! These ppl are a joke !
