No price transparency. We took our 12 month old daughter here on a Friday afternoon when her pediatricians office couldn’t fit her in. We were new parents worried about our baby. We were in the exam room with the nurse for about 10 minutes and then in front of the doctor for about 5 minutes. We were told we were doing the right things and sent home with nothing. The total bill for this visit was $800 and our insurance covered $200 of it. It was charged as an emergency visit even though this location is clearly titled “Urgent Care.” I think parents should have some idea of what the cost is going to be to them and not shocked as we were when we received bills from both the provider and the hospital totaling $600 that we were responsible for. Our babies vital signs were all normal and I wo
As a first time parent, we took our 1 year old here for an illness screening and spent about 5 minutes total in front of the doctor to learn she had a viral infection with the recommendation to continue with the treatments we were already doing at home. Received a bill for $800 for this visit. We did not receive a good faith estimate despite asking for one prior to the visit. It is of my opinion that this office participates in unfair billing practices and would encourage others to avoid if possible. Would also request any outreach from any legal professionals reviewing this post. The level of care did not justify the cost. Further, patient relations misstated our concerns and sought to justify the cost rather than working with us towards an agreeable solution. We feel at a loss and unjust
Zero stars. We were referred here for an x ray from the office down the hall. No visit. Walk in and walk out in ten minutes. We received an $800 bill for an xray only. That does not count the physician reading the xray. This is unfair billing. They are billing a hospital facility fee. This is not a hospital. You can literally go down the street and get an outpt xray for $40-60. Do not go to this " hospital".
Took my 8-year-old in for a simple sore throat and mild fever. We were in the building less than 30 minutes. Vitals, rapid strep test (negative), no meds given, no prescriptions. A textbook low-complexity urgent care visit. Left with a blue popsicle. Yet Children’s Colorado billed us $1,013, with almost $900 pushed to deductible, using codes that do not match the visit: G0381 – Type B Emergency Department Level 2 99204 – Moderate Complexity, New Patient According to CMS coding criteria: G0381 is meant for Type B emergency departments, which must operate under a hospital’s emergency license and meet specific regulatory definitions. This facility is not a licensed ED. Using ED codes in a non-ED setting raises serious concerns about coding validity. Based on publicly available information on
Treated badly by one of the female doctors. Brushed off my symptoms and acted as if nothing was wrong with me like I shouldn't even be there, like I was taking away time from people who actually needed help. So I lived with UC undiagnosed for another 2.5 years until I was able to see a different GI for my gut issues at which point I was diagnosed. This experience stuck with me because I was dealing with my symptoms for years and I finally felt the need to speak up about it because what I was experiencing was concerning, only to be brushed off by some lady who acted like she didn't have any time for me. People like that shouldn't be in healthcare.
