Children's Care Today – West Village Pointe

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a healthcare facility. This place is advertised as an urgent care and walk-ins are accepted. That is an absolute lie. It’s appointment only. They were nice enough to work us in and they got my daughter a room like 10 minutes later, vitals were taken and then we were just waiting for the PA. We sat for almost 2 hours without being seen. From our room we could hear the front desk lady talking badly to staff about how parents keep walking in with their kids and they aren’t a walk-in urgent care. Extremely off putting to hear people who should be caring for our kids be so negative about parents seeing misinformation on their website. Took my daughter in yesterday for an ongoing cough that I knew was either allergy/asthma related. When I checked in, the older lady with shoulder length blonde hair tried to make my daughter wear a mask. I told her no, so then she tried to guilt trip me by saying they have babies in there (mind you, the waiting room was empty, and I knew my child wasn’t sick). When I said no, my daughter is not wearing a mask, the light olive skinned, dark haired, 30 to 40 year-old woman sitting in the middle, wearing her mask around her chin, yawning without covering her mouth, started making passive aggressive comments about my choice not to make my daughter wear a mask. I don’t know if she was a receptionist, a CNA, or a nurse, but she definitely needs some more training. The only saving grace for this

Loved our experience here. Yes, you had to make an appointment, but I have not been to a pediatric urgent care that does not make you make an appointment in the last 2.5 years. I think some of these complaints should’ve just taken the kids to the ER. All the staff were friendly and treatment was quick and professional. I would recommend to anyone!

I never leave reviews but was so disappointed I felt compelled. Front desk staff were so dismissive and rude. Left with my 5 year old and I in tears and without being seen. Also heads up they don’t have water if your child is sick and crying for some water. If you live out west, spare yourself and drive the extra distance to the La Vista location. Had a wonderful experience there.

I live about an hour away from this clinic, the doctors office in my town weren't treating my daughters' symptoms seriously for over a month. Just giving us useless antibiotics that weren't working, steroid shots that didn't help. So we decided to come to this urgent care clinic to hopefully get some answers. I talked to Caroline, the scheduling lady, to see if they had any time. She was SO sweet and understanding. Didn't give me the run around, was very quick to answer my questions and she scheduled an appointment within 5 minutes for the time that would work for me that same day. The wait time was maybe 5 minutes after we got there (even showed up early.) Our nurse Lorraine was also SUPER sweet and made my kids laugh the entire time. The practitioner (can't remember her name) was awesome
