The APRN I saw was excellent. It was refreshing that she had some knowledge about functional medicine where a genetic profile can direct more individualized care. I did a genetic health test and was wanting to see how my lifestyle and diet changes were effecting my health. She was more than happy to order the tests I needed in order to get that info. That was very refreshing! The typical response from physicians is that they are not into the genetic component of health, and not interested in learning. She was really wonderful.
