CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs

"Bad experience." Not being treated for the upper respiratory infection by them. Started on Christmas morning until I was able to get to my normal physician at the 2 week after check from the hospital. Dr. ihuoma ogbuakiri and Dr Jenkins were especially bad. The first telling me that I was lying because I did have access to oxygen at home and I told them I didn't use it which was true and can be verified by the man that came from Delta Medical. Dr. Jenkins never spoke to me nor examined me and told me my lungs were shot. Lie. My GP said "Your lungs look good" when he opened the door and greeted me. I wasn't given water unless I had to press the button over and over and they acted like I was an annoyance. I was not put into a hospital gown then after the IVs were put in they tried

This was the worst hospital stay that I have ever had. I have been in CHI lots of times and had very good care. This time was different. First stayed in ER for 8 1/2 hours. They were busy so I understand. Checked in room 202at 1:20 am. Nurse very nice. She updated all information got all meds taking etc. I never once got any meds that I take on daily basis. Never got any fluids. I’m a cancer patient, I have to take Tylenol for pain but was never given any until 1 hour before I went home. I was on no food or drink until I was to do echo. They never came , I was so thirsty and hungry. I told cancel echo around 2 so I requested I go home. I don’t understand what was going on. Nurses was nice but they had no orders.

When I arrived, I was greeted be the friendly receptionist. After filling out a page of information, I was asked in and we did a few more paperwork items. As soon As I was done with that I was asked back to change into an examination gown. I barely sat down to wait and was called in. The xray tech was very kind. As soon as I was done with the trays, I was asked into my next appointment. That tech was also very nice and kind. I was out of there within 40 minutes. I've waited longer in other facilities than my two appointments this morning. We'll done CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs!

I waited for over four hours to be seen. Then I was put in a fast track room where absolutely no one treated my pain seriously. My request for a CT was denied after I pointed out that the radiologist stated the imaging positioning was less than optimal. The doctor didn’t seem not offer any resolution for my pain. Nor did she offer to stabilize my sprained ankles and knee. I did finally ask for ace bandages and managed to get those. They did not so much as take my blood pressure once I was seen. I usually give CHI ER good ratings, but this visit was a nightmare. Very disappointed in my level of care.

Really wish the billing was a lot easier to understand. It seems like I am forever getting small bills from you. That never tell me what my total balance is or what the charge is made for. Your care is extra extraordinary. Please make your billing as good as your nursing and medical staff.
