CHI Health Good Samaritan

Staff have been very professional on the out patient services the VA has planned for me. Services are to be Quarterly. Having worked at Good Sam for over 20 years I have an awareness of the process and care given. Staff and Drs have been very polite and knowledgeable about my medical needs. The first back injections were thru outpatient surgery area. That process was relatively easy on my part as I was escorted by staff to the imaging area. I was prepped for process and moved into Cath Lab at the imaging area. The Dr. gave me some shots in my lower spine area to minimalize nerve reaction. A series of injections were delivered into my back and operation pain was minimal. I was walked back to enertance and my wife and I left, she was asked to drive. Very quick and easy. The registration lady was incredibly kind and welcoming. The MRI imaging team was also very nice and supportive throughout this process. I love that the imaging has its own separate entrance to enter and stay in rather then encounter anyone from the rest of the hospital. I would however appreciate earlier appointments then 7:30 if that’s possible especially during cold and flu season as well as being able to still make it to work by 8am.

These 2 stars are for the ER doctors and my attending. They did not share my test results with me, they would tell me I'll be getting THIS med tonight, and instead the nurse showed up with THAT med. I was so angry. I am disabled. I know what works for me w and what doesn't. So why did they give me all the pills that I told them DO NOT WORK? WE MET WITH THE ATTENDING time, and the other attending twice, once with the primary. He would listen, he'd change meds, he's try to help. But I felt like my Attending thought i was faking it. Then I get home and my daily blood tests came on my Chart. He said NOTHING about me being anemic, platelets were high, I ran, and still am, running a lie grade fever, my abdominal paint is no different than where I presented to the ER that day. I'm s

All personal were so kind and very professional. They all seemed to make sure I was comfortable and felt save. CHI has some very valuable employees that need to be recognized and encouraged every day of work.

Horrible experience in the ER, the Dr did not listen to me, and finally consulted neurological my request, the neurologist admitted me be life threatening detention and ordered a procedure and meds that were not done even though lab results showed I had an autoimmune response. The nurses were great, the other physicians didn’t care to listen to me( the patient)
