Chesapeake Regional Primary Care - Elizabeth City

Whoever their front desk lady is seriously needs to take a course in phone etiquette. She was incredibly rude, didn't introduce herself, kept snapping at me, and spoke over the top of me twice.

Exceptional Care! This week, my wife, daughter, and I all came down with the flu, and I cannot express how grateful we are for the excellent care we received at Chesapeake Regional Primary Care in Elizabeth City. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness, compassion, and great professionalism. Dr. Samantha Furia saw my wife today and was incredibly attentive, taking the time to explain everything in detail and ensure she was comfortable with her treatment plan. My daughter was seen yesterday by NP Stacy Pritchard, who was also fantastic. She was so caring and made sure to address all of our concerns. The Elizabeth city office was rude and nasty acting towards me because I was 6 or 7 minutes late I'm disabled and have issues!Then I had to reschedule and I'm out of my medications first time going there transferred from Camden office but after a month I went back and saw the doctor who then talked about my insurance and other things more or less but I believe she just didn't want me as a patient because I have Medicaid she talked negatively about it and I was offended greatly then she made something up and said I was inappropriate that is bull she new that would cause her to not have to take me as a patient i have never been treated so badly I good mine too talk with a lawyer!

Very personable and welcoming staff. The only primary care for adults with same day walk ins that I have found. Accepting new patients.

1/10/2023 I visited the urgent care section for an appointment to see a doctor for some post covid health issues. Although they were not accepting new patients at this time, I live seasonally in Hertford and was offered an urgent care appointment the next day. The office was clean and well-run and staff helpful. Dr Samantha Furia and her assistant were professional, knowledgeable and met my needs during the appointment. I am very selective with my medical provider choices, and Dr Furia was everything I look for in a medical provider. Very thankful for her care and now feel comfortable that I found great competent medical care close to my winter home!
