Chen's Acupuncture Massage Center PC

I was very reluctant at first, but I was stiff from a trip to Timberline Ski just days before. He spoke decent enough English, but it was a little hard to understand him. He did the acupuncture with a heat lamp on, the electrical current things in addition to aroma therapy. Afterwards he gave me 10-15 back run in the problem area. I actually fell asleep and drooled over the floor, but I can't believe how soon the relief came. I was still a little sore, but nothing near like I was before.

I'm extremely disappointed in the service I received at Chen's Acupuncture Massage Center in Portland, Oregon. As a patient, I expect a certain level of care and professionalism, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. During the acupuncture treatment, the practitioner failed to follow basic sanitation protocols. Not only did I have to ask for hand sanitizer, but more concerningly, the practitioner didn't sanitize my skin before inserting the needles. This lack of attention to detail put me at risk and made me feel uncomfortable throughout the treatment. The treatment itself was also poorly managed. The practitioner left needles in my leg unattended, which caused bleeding and significant pain in my ligament. When I expressed my discomfort and pain, the doctor seemed dismissive and sim

I am a loyal patron. This guy knows what he is doing. I don't know if I believed in acupuncture before. I'm all about holistic medicine, and this is where it's at. He's been at it for years, he's a serious pro, and most the time I end up falling asleep because I'm so relaxed. Kudos to Mr. Chen and his adorable little wife who helps you at the front desk. There is a slight language barrier, but you figure it out pretty quick

I am an acupuncturist myself, (pretty picky actually) and I absolutely recommend Dr. Chen and his massage therapist Jenny. She does Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) and the acupuncture/massage combo is wonderful. There is a bit of a language barrier at times but the quality of care is outstanding. Basically, don’t expect small talk. Explain your #1 or #2 (or 3) health concerns and then relax. He can treat pain as well as internal medicine issues. Dr. Chen’s needle technique is almost painless, and they are both gentle and kind practitioners. If you are interested in Chinese herbs, he can prescribe herbs and you can get them filled at a place like Wing Ming. I don’t know much about how the pay structure is set up, but they can call and bill insurance for payment.

I didn't know that my co-pay gonna be that high even though I asked for the price before I went in for treatment. The communication between the doctor and the front lady wasn't clear and didn't tell me the step by step of what's going to happen. I did have a good nap but the worst of all is when the treatment was done I was putting on my shirt I felt needles still stuck on my back and I have to pull two needle out myself. And I thought to myself why would the doctor feeling for the needle to take out?.. Can he not see where the needle was at? If he cant, how do he even know where to put the needle?.. Yeah, I'm not coming back. It look and feel unprofessional and unscheduled.
