Tl;dr - if you get Dr. Jean McDonough, be very cautious and be ready to advocate for your concerns in the face of possible gaslighting. The clerical staff and medical assistants have always been phenomenal during our visits here. The reason for my low rating is really one doctor who has been very dangerous for our family. I think that Dr. Jean McDonough is dangerously overconfident in her knowledge base, oddly unwilling to test things and, when she does, oddly unwilling to prescribe treatment in line with test results. I believe that overconfidence is one of the most dangerous traits for a doctor to have. Nobody knows everything, that’s why we test, trial treatments, and follow-up. In the lifetime I’ve lived in Charlevoix, myself and other family members have seen Jean for various reasons

Complete waste of time I show up with an infection and they tell me i have an infection but do absolutely nothing to combat said infection and send me on my way. And then doctor Jean McDonough criticized my choice in foot wear, when im in too much pain to put socks on even. Highly unprofessional

Staff was very polite but had a bad experience with the doctor. My 1 year olds eye was balloon level swollen and he didn’t even look at her, just asked me what was wrong and prescribed medicine. Ended up not helping the issue and we had to go to the doctor again the same week.

Great service. The staff were all welcoming, caring, and efficient.

Great service. We only waited maybe 15 minutes on a couple occasions. Staff was great and treated the kids incredible.
