I was not a fan of this doctor. He is nice but too friendly and chatty and not very professional. He tends to ramble on about unrelated random topics which takes up my time when I just want to focus on my child’s allergies. That is probably why the wait is so long, I’m sure he is just chit chatting with everybody who comes in. Also when he did my child’s skin prick test, he left us to go eat his sandwich and talk on the phone in his office which he leaves the door open so I see him just hanging out meanwhile the skin prick marks on my daughter are fading because he left us for so long.

I'm almost impressed by how awful the receptionists are here. The one today got very defensive when I asked for clarification. Don't waste your time and money on these adult children. It's absolutely embarrassing. I work in healthcare, so I know it's not right to gaslight and mock patients. Also the standard is to give IDs back immediately when asked. I had to request mine THREE times while she held onto it for an HOUR.

Dr Shapiro Is very kind but I went twice and was a little taken back that today I was rushed out and spoken rudely twice by his receptionist. Not the first time when she said on the phone I’m calling you after hours to book you an appt. No! You will not speak to me in that matter again. Also she has no phone manners to other patients. I went twice and no results or anything just no you don’t have allergies and come back for more testing. Unfortunately I will not be back bc I felt rushed today and the first time no one told me not to take meds for any testing dr would do. I work in the vet field and do allergy testing and we don’t treat our clients or patients as such especially my receptionist! The other girl just gave me looks the entire time. Very unprofessional. We were referred here by our baby's pediatrician due to a suspected milk allergy. The receptionists were very nice. Dr. Shapiro was also friendly but kept cutting me off or being dismissive as I was trying to describe the baby's symptoms, why we were there, etc and instead talked on and on about his own experiences with other patients and what he was able to fix for them. He spent the vast majority of the visit talking about himself, his friends, kids, and anyone else's allergies rather than the baby's. He also pricked her arm with 10 allergy testers without letting us know what he was doing or asking if it was okay. Dr. Charles Shapiro always does his job well. I wish there were more doctors like him around. He listens to his patients very carefully and has answers for almost all the questions. My son finally got the right treatment for his severe allergies and has shown great improvement! Great Job!!!
