Chai Urgent Care - East Elmhurst, NY

I got to the urgent care with a severe stomachache at 7:15 pm. Five minutes before 8 pm the person at the front desk ( she identified herself as Lily) stated they couldn't see more patients as doctor’s request. I was waiting for about 40 minutes with non-stopping pain. I was the next patient, the patient before me was leaving the examination room. This is irresponsible and unethical from a medical center “@URGENT CARE”

Very disorganized. Went in there for my 2 girls who were sick. They didnt have any rapid tests left except for strep. Had to do PCR testing. I don't hear from them for 3 days, I called and they said the samples were lost. Why didn't they inform me of this? I am waiting around for nothing. I do not recommend this place at all Not even sure if the provider who came to examine my girls was a physician, PA or NP. She wouldnt tell me. Very suspicious

I hate writing bad reviews for businesses, but this place is run very poorly. I got to the clinic with only one person ahead of me and thought the wait was going to be short. While I was waiting, the girl at the front desk was having issues verifying my insurance. I waited for a full hour for her to recheck my insurance and still wasn't able to verify. Why did it take a whole hour for them to tell me my insurance isnt working. I'm pretty sure the girl at the front desk is also a nurse so I know she has alot to deal with but her excuse was there were people ahead of me (again, just the one patient). So I have passed this location many times and because I needed something close to work I decided to go to the East Elmhurst loaction. First off, when you walk its not crowded at all, so your wait is not long at all. The check in process was pretty fast. Second, the provider I dealt with (Dr. Rachel) was so nice. She listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable. I loved that she went over each one of my test results. The only complaint that I have is the location only has one bathroom. I would definitely use this Urgent care location again. There is plenty of parking.

I really wish I didn’t have to do this but here it goes. I made an appointment around 7:45pm which I showed up 5 minutes before to do the check in process. I’m a new patient. The receptionist came towards the front desk and asked for my ID and Insurance Card …. She didn’t even greet me at all. The office closes at 8pm by the way so she told me and another gentleman we couldn’t be seen because we decided to come in 15 minutes before the clinic closes, she also stated she knew nothing about insurances… she claimed a third party company does all the verifications for the insurances, she claimed no one answered on her end so we weren’t able to be seen at all.
