Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital

This was the best hospital experience anyone could ask for. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. The hospital was clean and run very efficiently. My wait times were minimal. They diagnosed my problem correctly and performed surgery to correct it. I am feeling better and recovering well.

ED is an embarrassment. Waited 5 hrs to even get hooked up to heart monitor. Nurse got sassy and said well we’re busy. Lady, this is VA. You don’t know what busy is! Disorganized to say the least.

This is by far the dirtiest and most unprofessional hospital I have ever been to. While in the waiting room several patients left after they were asked to wait for X-Ray results and only after the patient asked after 5hours of waiting was told there was no radiologist working and no one knew when the next one was coming in. After waiting almost 8 hours in the ER for my husband who has a broken neck and asking for pain medication several times. After 4 hours I asked how long it would be to be seen where I was told they had no idea, that they had no bed but as we were taken back to his room we passed at least 3 open “clean” rooms. The room we were put in was just a dirty as the lobby, we then waited over an hour (still with no pain medication) to be seen by a Dr. There was no sense of urgenc

The lady at the front desk for ultrasounds was extremely rude and so was the ultrasound tech. When my ultrasound was done she just like through the towel on me and was like “you can clean yourself up” and just went about her business. It was so weird. The towel already had a bunch of gel on it so I just did my best to use the parts of the towel that didn’t to get it all off. I was like ummm okay thank you? Do I go now? and she was like oh yea that’s it. so rude for no reason really. I have just been having a lot of stomach issues and it’s been really a pain and affecting my mental but doctors have been so rude about it. From entering the ER this weekend to being transferred to Med Surge. I had the best experience!! And trust me I can find alot to complain about lol. But honestly this was the best group of nurses and doctors. They went above and beyond. I was in so much pain!! They were very patient and understanding!! I even thought the food was good and I'm a picky eater and have alpha gal allergy. I want to thank them so much for taking the time and care they did to help me in being able to get back home quickly. You rock Bedford Memorial from the ER to Med Surge to housekeeping and the kitchen. I'm really thankful!!!😊😊😊
