Centers Urgent Care of Boro Park

Ladies: DO NOT go to this location alone. I have a feeling if my husband had been present I would have received better care-but I doubt it. The nurse called me back and ran my vitals. I had a fever of 101, sore throat, sinus pressure, swollen lump nodes, swollen/red gums, and an ear ache. I told her I suspected strep because I could see a white blister on my tonsil so we did the rapid strep. That test was neg. That is when the “doctor” came in, didn’t introduce himself, had me open my mouth and look at my throat for maybe 2 seconds. He says “strep is negative. Just take Motrin.” He left the room. The nurse came back and I had to ask her if we could test for Covid and flu because I’ve had fever the past 3 days and I paid out of pocket for the visit because I have a gap in coverage until I

My wife went here and came home in tears. The doctor was dismissive and unprofessional. Bedside manner was garbage. She paid cash for her care and when she brought up that she receives infusions and is immunocompromised, the doctor said "and who pays for that?" What an unnecessary snarky comment. Unprofessionalism at its absolute finest. Do not give these people your business. I'd give zero stars if I could.

The staff from the front desk to the assistants as well as the doctors were so friendly, helpful, patient, and made us feel so comfortable. The receptionist greeted us with such a warm friendly smile. She saw our daughter was nervous and was very encouraging to her. I only wish I got her name. The assistant that gather data and took her vitals has excellent “bedside” manners. You can tell she likes working with people. The doctor felt like a family friend. Very understanding and caring. Definitely would revisit if need be.

I was completely distraught before walking into this urgent care. Once I got in I was greeted and reassured upon checkin. I was sent right in to the exam room where another nice girl took my vitals and asked me a couple important questions. She heard me out & gave me some very knowledgeable responses reassuring me that the doctor is very good, and what will probably end up happening. Sure enough, the doctor came in & she was absolutely great as promised! She answered all my questions and explained clearly how we were going to go about the appointment. I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better experience anywhere! They quickly attended to me & assessed my condition and got me the medications I needed sent to the pharmacy in no time! I wish every experience I ever had was as good as this

The place is very nice and fast, I love the treatment from the medical assistant and PA. The only thing the front desk girl needs to be more friendly. I work at the front desk at Maimonides too, and I know how overwhelming it can get with patients, but a good attitude can make a place better. The front desk is the first impression of the place. I would come back and recommend the place to friends and family members 🙂
