If I could give this place negative 5 stars, I would. This is a money hungry facility who doesn’t care for the wellbeing of any of their patients. They didn’t have any psychologists on staff, just psychiatrists. Psychiatrists job is to prescribe you medicine, psychologists are therapists. We did absolutely nothing therapy related during group therapy. The nurse staff pressured me into taking an antipsychotic medicine when I didn’t want to. The medicine was used to treat bipolar disorder when I don’t have bipolar disorder. I had to explain to doctor Ghanta Ramesh what borderline personality disorder even was! Ramesh tried to diagnose me as bipolar as well, when he doesn’t have the credentials to do so. During my evaluation the nurse threatened to send me to Eastern State Hospital if I didn’

I have had three weeks away from this place and I wanted to go ahead and review this place especially given the circumstances of my recovery afterwards. -VA is outdoing you all, how, and why? -Medication I was placed on was entirely way too strong and there was a lot of it. -When talking about my diagnosis with the doctor I was ignored. I don't have bipolar disorder and yet again its in my paperwork because I was an angry and sad "woman". -I know y'all don't come across genderfluid people often, but maybe read something so that when someone says "Any pronouns" you don't look at them with abject confusion. I was there when my BiPolar Disorder went into a major depression almost a year ago. I was extremely suicidal. They were very caring and helped me to start to come out of it. It wasn't all medication. It was therapy and classes too. The staff is awesome!

Bourbon Behavioral is the perfect picture of negligence. Please don’t go here if you are LGBTQ, a woman, or a person of color. They are not interested in harm reduction of any kind, they will not treat you like a human being. You will be ignored, dismissed, and treated poorly by the staff. The techs and nurses are clearly overworked and underpaid and they act like it. Do not go here.

They were way to pushy about people who didn't feel good. They always kept us trapped in the rooms longer than intended then we have the fact people get hungry easily but when they fall asleep it's a "problem" and "must be reported to the doctor" just because we don't want other people knowing our issues. I hated this place and they relate themselves to the ridge when they haven't heard how bad it is. The ridge has kids die unlike them and that was like 5 people died while my friend's brother was there. One of them happened to be a 5-year old kids with schizophrenia
