Cedar Lake Lodge

Staff are friendly and helpful. Always ready to assist with a smile. Residents are always clean, smell good and are dressed in complete outfits. Interactions between staff and residents appear affectionate on both sides. Facility is clean and welcoming. Patients are confidant. When I need assistance with a resident they settle when a staff member comes to support them during the exam. It may sound strange to talk and clean clothes and smelling good but that really is a wonderful indication of the level of care. I travel to a lot of places in multiple states and this home sets the bar.

My brother and I just spent a week at this lodge. First time fishing in Canada and first time at this lodge. I was disappointed in the female owner who did not make us feel welcome and was not engaging. One day I had fish to be cleaned for transport across the border. When I brought the fish to be cleaned, Stacy informed me that their cleaner was off for the day. When I asked what options I had, she asked me if I knew how to clean the fish(which I do, but not for presentation at the border). The 90 year old cabin we stayed in was described as “rustic” but I considered it to be barely habitable. I ended my stay with 3 spider bites (which Stacy told me they came from the boat and not the cabin). I only write this to let others know what to expect.

Having worked in healthcare for 23 years, I can tell you that Cedar Lake Lodge is the cleanest, best staffed, and best supplied facility I have ever been in. If you have an adult loved one with special needs, look no further. The staff to resident ratio is the best I have ever seen and I do believe that the staff genuinely love what they do.

Cedar lake is the best day program ever been to I go there momday through Friday they are very nice and very caring and they love and care for everyone they will talk to about anything they are just there for they make you feel special this my home they will give you hugs and tell you they love you this these place ever it is better than working
