Cayuga Medical Center

Just gave birth here two weeks ago. The birthplace is one of the best mostly because of how wonderful the nurses are. They really have the patient’s best interests at heart. We had kind of an emergency situation and the staff including the OBGYN and the anesthesiologist attended to me within minutes of us arriving there. The nurses were amazing and went out of their way to form a connection with the patient which really helped during the stressful times. I couldn’t have done it without their calm guidance.

This place is genuinely disgusting. Not even trying to sound like an ego pig, but out of all the hospitals I’ve been to, this is by far the most unprofessional and unhygienic hospital I’ve ever been to. The doctors do the wrong scans, get your name wrong, somehow add in symptoms you’ve never even said, and misspell words on documents. The nurses do not care about you. They forget amenities and requests very frequently. All of the reviews talking about billing experience and medical miscalculations are all true. YOU can be a doctor here. Thank god I knew something was wrong and went to an actual hospital. 3 days until my surgery 💪.

They saved my dad's life TWICE. This second time, everybody was sure we would lose him, I mean, it was total devastation. He's a wonderful father, a loving husband, an inspiration in my own life, and a great friend to many. Despite everything, he pulled through, and every step of the way, they did everything they could. They treated him with the utmost compassion and respect. Considering the burden placed on healthcare professionals and institutions throughout the country right now, my family could not be more thankful for what you did for somebody we love so much. These folks, they are heroes.

Medical staff are supposed to maintain patient confidentiality. There is a meme posted by this health centre, showing a tiny white baby next to a larger black baby. The racist message is clear. Black flesh is monstrous. This was a meme about Shawn Jnr ( the black baby) next to Margot ( the tiny baby). If Shawn’s parents are ok with this, they need to educate themselves about black representation. Awful. Shocking. Can’t believe a medical centre would do this. I, as a person with brown skin, would not trust the staff there

This hospital has gone downhill. The care given was much better in the past. I think the aides and nurses need better training.
