Cassena Care at New Britain

I have found the staff to be caring and very competent. Their attention to the patients are above excellent. The facility is very clean and the patients are happy. Nursing staff are very competent in the care they are providing. Feedback from other families is that they are pleased with their loved ones care. Many staff are bilingual in either Spanish or Polish.

Cassena was referred to me last year by 2 of my coworkers whose mothers had both been here. My mom spent 1 month here August 17. When she had to return to rehab June 18 I almost went into a panic attach thinking that I could not get her back in here. The building is older but very clean. The entire staff is amazing. Physical therapy is there on the weekends. New problems are arising with her medical needs. The nurses and APRN are on it. I could go on and on. Not one problem here.

Tonight was my first experience with this place, the receptionist who answered the phone talked too fast and was extremely rude, still can't get sold of my brother. Now that he has been here awhile, things have gotten much better,.I feel he is getting the care that he needs and he actually is quite happy, sorry for jumping to conclusions!

While there I noticed one of the staff members speaking to one of her patients in a horrible tone. She was upset that he had went on himself, and even cursed while expressing her frustration to the individual. I should’ve alerted a supervisor about it but, I didn’t and I now feel horrible about it.

I will recommend cassena care to anyone great staff very friendly and very respectful staff and they will help anyone on there discharge day to get everything help you will need at home im personally i would like to thank every staff day shift and night and lets not forget the cleaning crew they alway keep everything clean thank you guys for evrything
