Casselman Healthcare and Rehab

My dad was a patient at the Casselman for about a month for physical therapy. I cannot say enough good things about the care he received. The staff was attentive, the nurses were excellent and everyone was friendly and helpful. My dad had a scary medical incident but two nurses were right there to provide assistance and averted a crisis. They went above and beyond. This was also my first rodeo with a nursing facility but the administrators answered every question I had, went over every aspect of my dad’s care, and made suggestions. They even helped me find a new place when he rose above needing skilled nursing. That was thanks to the fantastic PT he received. My dad has used a cane for balance for several years and still does outside on uneven terrain but inside he’s just fine without it.

Staff really works well together to bring quality care for your loved ones. They truly care as if they were their own.

There is a great comfort in being a smaller building in a local community where staff can intimately know each resident and their specific needs.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR PARENT SISTER BROYHER SON DAUGHTER. DO NOT PUT THEM IN THIS HELL HOLE. I HAD PUT MY MOTHER IN THIS HOME BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO ME. MY MOTHER IS A DIABETIC THAT LOST HER LEG. 1ST PRIBLEM WAS BED SORES. THAN DISCOVERED THEY WERE NOT CHECKING HER SUGAR. WAS TOLD BY HEAD NURSE THEY DO NOT CHECK DIABETICS SUGAR LIKE WE WOULD AT HOME. THIS IS A LIE. THEY WERE TO RUN EVERYTHING THROUGH ME. THEY DID NOT. THEY HAD MY MOM WHO IS NOT IN HER RIGHT MIND SIGN OVER HER SOCIAL SECURITY. THEN WHEN I WANTES TO TRANSFER HER OUT THEY TOLD ME NO HOME WOULD TAKE HER. I FINALLY HAD ENOUGH AND CALLED A HOME AND HAD HER MOVED IN ONE DAY. TO ONE OF THE HOMES THEY SAID WOULD NOT TAKE HER.

Some of the staff are wonderful but there was a nurse there while I was a resident that got mad when I asked when my pain med was due that took the laptop that had all the info on it and slammed it down on my shoulder.
