My husband was a patient following a quintuple CABG at Atrium Cabarrus of July-August 2025. Can’t say enough good things about Kelsey in case management. She totally went above and beyond not just helping to get Rick home but safely back home. Compassionate, caring for the patients health but also taking time to help family members. She is an asset to the hospital. We had a great experience with everyone. Doctors, PT, RT and nursing staff. All treated Rick with respect and compassion to help him through a difficult time. My husband had Guillain Barre Syndrome late last summer and needed to be weaned from a ventilator and was also paralyzed. There were some exceptional respiratory therapists, Brenda and Bill especially, but there were some just putting in the time and doing the bare minimum. My husband was not improving and the social worker was talking two weeks in about a nursing home that could accommodate a ventilator. The physical therapists were wonderful,, but they were stretched so thin. The nursing staff and aids, with a few exceptions were incompetent and unresponsive to my husband’s needs, especially at night.
