Carnegie Gardens Nursing Center (Nurse: Mildred)

This place is unbelievable. Call lights unanswered for hours at times. Nurses disappearing for hours at times. Getting pain meds is like pulling teeth then they treat you like a junkie for asking for your own prescription. The patients are often treated like an afterthought. The food is sub-par and they will rarely get what you ordered right. The people here are SUPER FRIENDLY, but the care is absolutely embarrassing. A lot of the old folks here aren't capable of advocating for themselves so they are just ignored. I was put into withdrawal because the doctor FORGOT to refill my pain meds for 24 hours. Criminal.

Never judge a book by its cover. The new owners of Carnegie Garden Nursing Center which is now BedRock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Melbourne. My experience of the facility, and the staff has been overall satisfactory. It's the concern care patience, and genuine attitude of the staff that initially made me fall in love with this facility. I was met with challenges because of my injury and needed Rehabilitation to learn how to walk and do the simplest things as take a bath clean myself up dress myself and so on. Not only or the administration and healthcare providers in this facility understanding mostly all of them took the time out and showed a level of concern and care for not only me but the other residents of the facility. That restored a faith that I had lost in humanity. Alth
