Carlisle Myofascial Release

I have been going to Mike for several months now and I am so glad I found him. He's helped me so much with widespread pain. I also referred my neighbor who has chronic neck pain and in two sessions she is doing much better. Mike really cares about making his clients feel better. He is truly invested in helping people and it shows in every session. He is also very skilled at following lines in tension in the body. If you are in pain and looking for help, I highly recommend giving Mike a try.

Michael has a gift for understanding the body's response to injury and pain. I would greatly recommend him to anyone with acute or chronic muscle, joint, or nerve issues. I had injured my back and shoulder lifting and carrying my 18 month old son, which caused severe pain down my arm into my fingers. Following 1 visit of Michael working MFR, I had less nerve pain, less muscle inflammation, and I could actually move my neck without wincing in pain. I've had another massage therapist work on me who's not trained in Mayofascial Release and the relief lasted only a few hours. After each MFR session with Michael, I noticed my relief lasted longer from 3 days to 10 days, to ultimately resolving my pinched nerve.

My family and I have been clients of Mike Mohr for more than 7 years. Mike trained with John Barns (one of the founders of “myofascial release”) and keeps up with ongoing education regularly. He is so talented. I am amazed at how he can feel where the problem areas are and then works on them until they are better. I highly recommend him; you won’t be disappointed.

Before we scheduled a massage with Mike he assured us he was a licensed therapist. He is not. His license expired in 2019. I feel he mislead us, first not telling us his license was expired, and then insisting that our insurance would not bother checking the validation of a PA massage therapist license. I filed the claim with his receipt and license number and it was rejected. All of our other claims for reimbursement for massages from licensed therapists have been reimbursed without any problem. As a result, our insurance would not cover any of the $95 charge. Also, he talked to me much of the time he was working on my spouse. While his conspiracy theories are interesting, I wish he would have focused his energies 100% on his work, creating a more healing environment.

Mike expressed impressive professionalism and knowledge regarding the complexities of human anatomy and the intricacies involved in healing processes. My first session was a delight as we discussed my personal needs as well as shared, philosophical, interests. I felt refreshed, in mind and body, and look forward to further treatments. Thanks Mike!
