CareSpot Urgent Care of Jacksonville San Marco

Everyone was very nice from the time I got there. The nurse was very nice and explained everything to me. The PA was professional and very thorough. I like that the Xrays could be done there. Did culture’s Made accurate diagnosis. Definitely would recommend this place.

Stay away. I refrain from posting negative reviews unless they are truly, significantly deserving. Unfortunately, the only two times I have ever visited this CareSpot, I have had bad experiences. The first was many years ago and they gave me (and charged me for) a test I did not authorize nor consent to. I had to fight both insurance and CareSpot to rectify the payments. The second and more negative experience was over the course of the last month. I visited this CareSpot on 10/25 for a fairly routine infection and antibiotic. A culture only takes 48 hours, but CareSpot did not call me until 10/30 to tell me I needed a different antibiotic. Five days for a simple culture result and notification is unacceptable. I had a very upsetting experience at this urgent care location. I arrived with my fiance approximately one hour before closing while he was actively bleeding from his hand and clearly in significant pain and distress. Despite there being no one in the lobby at the time, we were told they were “full” and could not see us. The registrar showed little compassion, provided no meaningful explanation, and simply told us to go to another urgent care with no offer of help or coordination. The location they recommended seemed to be already closed as no one was answering the phone on our drive there and we couldn’t leave a voicemail, and my fiancé was left bleeding, in pain, and without care. No concept of time or urgency to the fine people working here. Expect your appointment time to be severely different than the time you're seen. Front desk lady was cold and rude. It takes a lot for me to write a review, but the jokers here have earned it.

Terrible experience with the registrar at the front desk. I walked in around 2 pm and started the sign in process when she began asking me for my physical insurance card which I did not physically have. I informed her that my current insurance should be on file as there had not been any changes since my last visit at the exact location. Initially, she said ok well it’s not a problem but there’s a 40 minute wait. I left the lobby and came back 30 minutes later and as soon as I walked in the door she asked for my insurance card again saying she never completed my check in. Very combative and argumentative. I felt extremely provoked for no reason at all. Will be filing a complaint and speaking with the manager at this location as well because this is not the type of people we need in health
