CareOne at Madison Avenue

I'm currently at Care One recovering from a case of orthostatic hypotension that left me unable to walk. I'm doing better and have requested a discharge to continue my convalescence at home. There are good things and not-so-good things about this facility. Good: the physical therapists are hard-working, compassionate, and professional. The nurses are, for the most part, very good. The building, while aged, is clean, although it definitely could use a renovation. The administrative staff I have dealt with is responsive. Bad: sorry to say, a number of the nurses aides are lazy. The other day, it took over 30 minutes after using my call button for someone to come. The food absolutely sucks. Some meals are OK, but many are barely edible. And although they give you a menu, the selecti

CareOne Madison Ave has my upmost respect, the care team does a great job and they work very hard. The recreation director Rebecca Cunningham is very welcoming and creates an atmosphere of hope and encourages every resident. The recreation assistants Emily, Kayla and Hadita bring warm energy to every activity. Gus the nurse is also very supportive and helpful. Honestly everyone here I admire.

I want to thank all the staff at CareOne for their outstanding service. The nurses are caring, attentive, and always make sure every resident feels safe and supported. The receptionists are welcoming, friendly, and very helpful with any questions or needs. A special thank you to the receptionist Erika Hailey, who is always professional, kind, and incredibly helpful. Her positive attitude makes every visit a great experience. Highly recommend CareOne for their excellent care and amazing team.

My cousin spent two weeks here after a medical procedure, and I can't say enough good things about the nursing staff and therapists — they were exceptional. Unfortunately, our experience with the social worker/case manager was very disappointing. She rarely provided updates to the family and was difficult to reach. When we were finally able to connect, many of my questions were met with responses like, “I don’t know,” or, “I’d have to dig very deep to find that information,” which did not inspire confidence. It’s a shame that someone in such an important role did not provide the level of professionalism and support we expected.

My husband has been at Care One Madison following frequent hospital stays. The very competent Administrator sets the tone for a warm , caring staff and facility that is clean and well run. The nurse has identified, on multiple occasions, the beginnings of critical health emergencies and has responded promptly. The staff has been wonderful - the nurse - the nurse aides - the doctors - speech therapist- the physical and occupational therapist- the social services support staff, have all helped him regain strength and movement. I’ve had assistance in scheduling doctor visits and transportation. The facility has provided daily recreation activities- and has helped to keep my loved one safe, medically healthy and well cared for. Barbara
