CareNow Urgent Care - Lee's Summit

I stopped in to get a standard work physical that I get every 2 years of the 11 years I’ve been with my employer with a TB test to be turned away because the physician was not comfortable completing the same form that my daughter had completed just yesterday at the same facility? I was on a groove getting things done today until you all threw a wrench on my day. The nurse practitioner has been completing them until your special one today. Not to mention your front desk staff was unpleasant, unwelcoming, and seemed to have no interest at all in helping.

If I could leave a 0 I would. There is absolutely no point to use their check in service. I did the charade paid $160 before they did anything (this is where I should have just left), still sat in the waiting room 45 minutes past my “we are ready for you text” and have now been waiting for someone to even come into my room for an hour. No doctor no results update. I went out to their desk area to see if they had any updates, one guy was leaning back in his chair scrolling on his phone with his arm on his head and the the other one said “we will get to you when we can”. Save your time and save your money, they simply do not care or respect you.

This Urgent Care facility (CareNow) is awesome! The staff were friendly and helpful and cared about how I was feeling after my injury. They were attentive to my situation and were able to provide an X-ray and have it read while I was there. I highly recommend this place when one might have a need for urgent care.

Was able to get in and be seen right away. Very little waiting. Elena was so kind and courteous when taking all my vitals. Doctor Kimberly looked me over and quickly determined what she could help me with. Then she told me staight away that for my other issue, I needed to go to the ER. I love a Doctor who speaks openly an honestly and holds no punches. Evertime I have used CareNow - I have been treated as a person and not just another number!

I came to get an x ray. It was for my back and was told after getting checked in, seeing the Dr. and telling me they do XRays, they were unable to perform an XRay on the back (at that time….they might have a qualified XRay tech at some moments, but not today or tomorrow). I have to go to a different location tomorrow, with Orders from the Dr. If going to Urgent Care for back pains, strains, falls, MAKE SURE to ask them if they have an “RT” (Radiological Tech) to be able to even take XRays of that portion of the body. I think they could’ve told me to consider another location THAT HAS an RT, when submitting “back pain” and “fall” on initial scheduling/screening. And insurance conveniently starts over tomorrow 🤣
