Care Center at Sunset Lake

Although you will always have some bad apples no matter where you go, I have found this facility to overall be very good for my mother who is now a resident but was also sent here for PT post-knee replacement surgeries. The place is clean and most of the staff who deal with my mother are very empathetic and genuinely caring. My father eats a meal with my mother when he visits (he says they charge him $3 for same - so cute) and he says the food is excellent - which is a big compliment, coming from him. They do some activities for the residents to keep them engaged, and there's apparently a little library from where you can borrow books. My father will eventually be joining my mother at this facility so I sincerely hope it stays at its current level and does not start going downhill at s

Staff really made it comfortable for me to leave my mom there, after seeing some of the reviews. Unit 1 staff were all nice kept me in the loop about my mom. I would def recommend the facility.

I Love the care center. My mom is a resident and has been for the last 3 years. She is Very well taken care of and the staff is just so loving. They update me every time I come in about her progress or just anything new or funny that happened. They call me All the time for medical and simple things, just to check and make sure. My mom was in other residences (outside the county) and it was a horrible experience. I am SO happy I found a safe, caring and loving home for my mother.

If you are thinking of sending a loved one to this facility, PLEASE DO NOT DO IT! My grandmother is a resident here. To the administration and owners, you should be ashamed. Who is running this operation because it is clear that NEGLECT HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS. 1. My grandmother has now “fallen” out of her bed over 5 times. We are getting conflicting stories from staff as to how this happened. Where was her fall mat that protects her when and if a fall occurs?? Where was your staff that left her unattended half way through getting her out of bed for the day at 11:00although breakfast is served at 6:30 and she still DIDN’T EAT? 2. My mother is being cared for here. This facility has remained steadfast in controlling Covid. I am so thankful she is living at Sunset Lake. The staff go above and beyond. Its a joy to visit.
