My father just spent a month at Capitol. He was very apprehensive given his poor experience at a different local rehabilitation center last year. The experience at Capitol was wonderful! My father enjoyed all of the staff and the care he was provided during his stay. The administrator was attentive, PT and OT provided excellent support, and the aids and nurses were very pleasant. We had so many wonderful interactions with staff. The facility was very communicative when keeping me up to date about his status and care. My only constructive criticism is that the food is consistently cold or cool. Thankfully, my father isn’t a super picky eater and was able to navigate that gracefully. My father also reported a lack of responsiveness at times when using the call button to seek help. I’m ver

Rehab staff is excellent. Most aides are good; aides at night are slow to respond to patients - I was able to get in my wheelchair, go to the restroom , complete my “necessary functions, and return to my bed before an aide arrived to help me. (Which sometimes meant more than half an hour.). If other patients were being tended to during the wait period, aide should apologize for long wait time and advise the patient waiting for help that he/she was helping another patient. Food is generally bad. A few patients would be glad to help with recipes for food preparation. Ingredients must be tasty for the fini

As a visitor I was greeted at reception with joy, met the staff and physical therapists that care for our family member. They warm, kind and caring care givers. They knew our family memer well and we all enjoyed smiles and laughter together sharing stories. Very impressive caregivers in a very difficult job

They've outsourced all their musician bookings to a company in Pittsburgh, taking away the ability for the entertainers to interface directly with the activity director at the facility. That is just pure laziness. In 10 years doing this full-time, it is the first retirement community here I haven't been able to schedule directly with the activity director.

1 star because i cant give zero. Horrible awful place. My grandmother was placed here after a surgery. She was promised physical therapy and they barely did that with her. She sat there despite calls for help and pushing the help button. The nurse was just sitting outside on her phone. She had a roommate who left feces on the toilet seat which sat there for 2 days before anyone cleaned it up. This roommate stole her walker even though it was labeled with her name- she peeled the label off. They let my grandmother sit in her feces and urine for hours causing a UTI and an awful bed sore. They wheeled her into the lunch room and let her sit there alone for over 3 hours. My grandmother was sent home well before she was ready because they wouldn't keep her unless she was there indefinitely. Whi
