Capital Health Primary Care – Newtown

Today was my first appt I saw Dr.levenson.. the ma Amanda was so welcoming and kept me calm during my vitals being I suffer from aniexty. She was very helpful and kind. Dr. Levenson was beyond amazing she listened to all my concerns and even pointed out one thing during my visit that she is going to Test with a lot of other things. Even though I was beyond anxious during this appt I felt relieved and not defeated leaving my appt with all my questions answers. I will be staying with this office and this doctor! Thank you so much! Even the lady who checked me in was beyond kind she was at the further desk behind desk 1 so friendly and welcoming!

PAY BY THE MINUTE SERVICES *Updated* I was going to leave the post and let it lay but the response is exactly what I asked not for. I attached the stupid billing statement, YOU PAY BY THE MINUTE, if you have insurance. At least Tricare Military. I agree with the other posts about being transferred to a national line when calling. I don't understand why the front desk cannot answer a phone call, it seems absurd. My doctor was leaving the practice and rather than calling me (and my wife) we were led to just see him and I guess follow-up with someone else. I don't understand, the doctor told me during the visit so it wasn't a surprise. It would be nice to know if we needed any follow-up care, it would be consistent. Dr Alesha Levenson is great! She is takes the time to listen and is very thorough. I highly recommend her as a PCP. Her support staff and the front desk staff are equally as helpful.

The doctors in the practice are wonderful! Unfortunately, the front desk staff are not. If you try and call their extension they don't answer and you are sent to voicemail. That's fine I'm sure they have busy periods (although I have tried to reach them at different times and always end up in voicemail). The problem is they don't return messages left in their voicemail box. I don't know if they are understaffed, but it is very frustrating to deal with.

I cannot recommend capital health enough! I see Angela Marchasani as my PCP and she is just absolutely wonderful. I have seen other doctors there too and they all are thorough, kind, empathetic, and helpful.
