I had a great experience at Capital Dental. The team was welcoming, professional, and made my visit very comfortable. I met the new dental assistant/hygienist, and he was extremely gentle during the cleaning. He also took the time to explain what he was doing and provided helpful tips for maintaining my dental health and preventing coffee/tea stains. Dr. Varney is approachable, knowledgeable, and attentive. One thing I really appreciate is how he takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure you fully understand your treatment. He never makes you feel rushed and makes sure you do not leave the office with any unanswered questions. His professionalism and genuine care make every visit a comfortable experience. I recently received Botox for jaw pain, which I had been experiencing for years. I used to grind my teeth constantly, and my TMJ caused me a lot of discomfort. The treatment was completely painless, performed by a skilled dentist, and the results are amazing. I no longer feel the chronic pain I had for years. Besides routine cleaning, I went there concerned about sensitivity I was experiencing in one of my teeth. I got the attention and diagnostics I needed to address the issue both by the hygienist and the dentist (without another set od X-Rays). I am happy to have visited them promptly.

Every tooth I had filled was left with improper contacts, to the point that I am unable to floss between multiple teeth. This is not a minor issue. Proper interproximal contact is a basic standard of care in dentistry. Over time, this led to ongoing pain, food trapping, and the development of cavities around and between the fillings. I have now been told that I need to redo all of these fillings due to the damage caused. I went to two other dentists and they were shocked at the quality of work done. I would strongly advise patients to check their bite and flossing contacts immediately after any filling and seek a second opinion if something feels wrong. I regret not addressing this sooner and would not return. Will attach x-ray scans as soon as possible.
